Monika Wachowicz was born on 2nd of December 1978 in Chrzanów (Poland). She graduated from Polish philosophy at the Silesian University in Katowice and from acting at The Lart Studio in Cracow.
Monika is a dancer and a theatre teacher at physical theatre company named A Part Theatre ( Teatr A Part).
She appears in all the performances of the Teatr A Part (apart from Lullaby and Bonds). Moreover, she is an assistant to the director, Marcin Herich, and a coordinator of numerous artistic events. Since 2007 she has been involved in the production and organization of the International Festival of Performing Arts Theaters A PART. Monika runs an acting studio at the A PART Theater |(2016-2017).
She has been realizing a solo project directed by Marcin Herich, presented many times in multiple countries.
2007 “Hourglass” (jury award for the performance “Hourglass” during the Festival of Polish Independent Theatres in Ostrów Wielkopolski in Poland for “intransigence in stage vision of solitude”(2008).

In 2009 she established The Women’s Theater Group called KoME in cooperation with Karolina Pietrzykowska from Cracow and Ewa Blazer from Berlin. They created an authorial project ,,DNA”. The premiere took place in the Theater Cantabile 2 in Denmark. (2009): performed during Internationales Theaterfestival 360 ° in Bielefeld in Germany (2009), 15th International Theatre Festival A Part (2009), Cultural Center in Bedzin (2009), Center of Contemporary Art in Cracow (2009), Theatr Baltoppen in Denmark (2010). KoME was interviewed by Danish Ministry of Culture after the Copenhagen Artist Talk and Presentation (2009).
Monika collaborates with a Danish theater Cantabile 2: site specific project ,,Venus Labyrinth” (acting, 2009) and a spectacle called HAIKU (acting, 2010, 2011), and Amareya Theatre (acting, 2018).
She received the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Scholarship of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodship in the field of culture (for projects: “Bellmer Circus” and “Künstlerspiele. Scenes from the Great War” 2011, 2014).
In 2015 she realized and directed a poetic reading with the elements of performance and installation, called ,,BODY” by Małgorzata Wachowicz.
In 2016 she realized and directed a solo project named ,,V”.
In 2017, Monika created a photo session ,,The Particles” with a photographer Joanna Nowicka.
In 2017, together with Marcin Herich, commander of the Warriors of Beauty, she co-directed a site specific project for one spectator called “Alice in Wonderland”.
